About The Project
I started on my personal portfolio website in Advanced Webpage Design. It is the second site required to be made. I chose to do mine in wordpress as I have two portfolios that needed to be showcased and wordpress allows for easier upload and big site changes to be made. I thought it to be much more manageable with a portfolio.
My Portfolio’s Evolution
I worked out a site map for the website. I decided to not include the project design notes in the main menus as it made it a bit cluttered. I did research and looked at other’s portfolios. What I thought was interesting was to add the resume on the homepage as if to advertise yourself to potential clients. I also liked that some people had big boxes as buttons to take you to different sections or portfolios of work and so I decided to include that myself.
The hero image had been changed many times as there was little agreement on the image of myself to be there as some images were pixelated or not of good quality. In the end I decided to just match the theme of the other pages hero’s and do a watercolor motif.
